WOMEN EMPLOYABILITY SUMMIT 2019 – Mardan

Project Details

Second Women Employability Summit 2019 was held on 20th & 21th Feb, 2019 at Women University Mardan where more than 1000 girls from different women institutions, employers from the local job sectors participated, multiple employment opportunities were shared with the graduates and young girls during the summit and 15 leading industry experts and speakers spoke at the summit. In pre-summit training workshops 1200 young girls belonging from university were equipped with Employability skills. CATD addressed the key challenge of lesser opportunities for female university students and graduates to enter into formal job market both in public and private sector. The summit was focused & centered on SDG’s Goal no. 4, 5, 8 and 17 to help young girls have equal access to employment, provide them the resources and equip them with the skills that make them more employable, and network with the job sector. The overall goal of the Women Employability Summit – WUM was to increase employability for women in KP – To help young girls be more employable, network with job sector and get employment opportunities and be socially and economically empowered – To provide training on employability skills, entrepreneurship and career to 1200, college, university students and graduated girls from universities and colleges in KP – To work for and achieve SDG’s Goal

-To facilitate job placement/internships of 200 graduate students from 05 selected women-based universities and colleges in KP with potential employers in public and private sector.
