“Making Women More Employable”
An Initiative by Center for Awareness Training and Development
Center for Awareness Training and Development working to transform the lives of young female since 2012 and has impacted hundreds of young people, and dozen of organizations. CATD believe in socio-economic empowerment of women and have initiated many programs to equip young girls with employability skills. Women Employability Summit 2019 addresses the key challenge of lesser opportunities for female university students and graduates to enter into formal job market both in public and private sector. In KP particularly in Peshawar city there are many colleges & universities which exclusively offer education to females in multiple disciplines. According to some conservative estimates only in Peshawar city an estimated 3000 females get degrees at various levels undergraduate, graduate, & post graduate from more than 15 institutions of higher education (colleges & universities) including the technical training institutes. Based upon our seven years of experience and after many programs, CATD initiated Women Employability Summit which annual mega gathering of young women studying in colleges and university or are recent graduates to meet the experts, industry leaders, job sector organizations and participate in multiple workshops and learning seminars to get equipped with employability skills, interact with employers to get employment opportunities, get market exposure within the campus and learn from top industry experts. It will also address the skill gap between industry and academia for women and engaging potential employers to interact with women and provide them opportunities.
